Event Beauty Night Out & Hair Style Competition at Doperdoll (EN)

Hello everybody!

Last Friday, on the 21st of February I attended my first beauty event here in Miami, as I was announcing you with so much excitement. I was very curious to meet all those fashion and beauty Miami bloggers, which blogs I've read and to see how an event is organized here on American land.

The event's location was at the luxury Doperdoll beauty salon, or as they call themselves ”a Beauty Bar that offers spa treatments and salon services” located in the beautiful and fancy area of Miracle Mile, in Coral Gables. The event was hosted by Afroza aka Chic Stylista and Veronica from Fiercely Thriftin', two fashion bloggers which styles I love. I knew them only virtually, through their blogs, but I really wanted to meet them in person.

We were greeted by Luis - the manager of the salon, who was very nice and gave me a tour, telling me how this salon came on the market, that it was inspired from the Apple store, that it was open recently, a few months ago and that this is the right place if you want to be completely spoiled. The salon offers a various range of services that will pamper every lady from head to toe - from manicure, pedicure, hairstyles, massages, spa treatments, and more, all performed by well known proffesionals. He helped me understand more the ”Beauty Bar concept” which apealled to me. Luis also introduced me to the man behind this luxury brand, the owner of this salon, Lance Wayne, we spoke a little and I had to compliment him for this accomplishment. I knew immediately that Doperdoll was the ”it place” where a woman can be spoiled, not only using the salon's services, but also treating themselves with luxury products like high-end perfumes, cosmetics or designer's handbags and accessories.

Did you know that they carry some of the hottest items of designer Nicolas Felizola? If you do not know who Nicolas Felizola is - well, he's the favorite designer of the stars from Latin America and well known and loved here in Miami. I knew who he was, because I have a feebleness for Jacqueline Bracamontes and she always looks stunning wearing his dresses. At the salon you can find handbags from his latest collection, accessories, even his mineral makeup line. Also, you'll find there designer sunglasses ready to be worn on hot Miami sun and many luxury cosmetic products.

The atmosphere was a very relaxed one, I felt being among friends and my emotions melt away. I've got to discuss with my fellow bloggers, sharing experiences. It was fun and I had a great time. There were offered complimentary haircuts and manicures. The evening ended in smiles and good disposition.

I hope to attend from now on as beautiful events as this one.

Pampering my hair

Since in the winter season here in Miami my hair got very dry and I kind of lost my curls, I talked to one of the salon's stylist to see what can be done for it. She washed my hair with Moroccan Oil products and applied a mask. I had to stay with it for 20 minutes - that's why you'll see me looking funny. In the end, I let my hair to dry naturally to see how this will work on it.
